Canadian Blues singer Celine Dion is currently unable to control her muscles amid Stiff-Person Syndrome.
The most recent information provided by her sister Claudette Dion regarding her sister’s health has many of Celine Dion’s fans concerned. Claudette stated on 7 Jours that her sister has lost control over her muscles.
Celine Dion is a well-known and iconic singer from Canada. She has been suffering from stiff-person syndrome for some time now.
Claudette said: “She doesn’t have control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined. She’s always worked hard. Our mother always told her, ‘You’re going to do it well, you’re going to do it properly.’
“It’s true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity? I don’t know.” Celine’s other sister, Linda, lives with her in Las Vegas, America, as she receives care from doctors specializing in stiff-person syndrome.
The iconic singer disclosed her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological condition affecting the central nervous system and muscles, in October of 2022. SPS can lead to pain, spasms, and stiffness in the muscles, making movement difficult to regulate.
Celine has been getting therapy and controlling her illness, SPS may be crippling. Because of the difficulties associated with it, she hasn’t been able to play live shows, but she is hopeful that she will ultimately make a comeback to the stage.
