Paige Tutemahurangi Death – Woman Battled and Lost Her Life After A Serious Domestic Assault In Hamilton

The woman who died over the weekend following a serious domestic assault in Hamilton has been identified as Paige Tutemahurangi.

Police were called to reports of someone being “seriously assaulted” at a Kahikatea Drive property on Saturday night.

The woman who was found with injuries after the incident was rushed to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition but sadly lost her live two days later.

Arrest was made at the scene of the incident and a 25-year-old man has been charged with murder.

The man whose name has not been made known to the public is due to appear in Hamilton district court today charged with Paige’s murder.

He was originally charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but that was withdrawn by police and upgraded to murder at the hearing.

Paige worked as an executive officer at Ruapehu District Council and her sudden death had left her colleagues distraught.
