Meet Prince Mashaba, a political pundit and the author of “The Outsider: An Unauthorized Biography of Herman Mashaba.”

Prince is a well-known pundit and co-author of The Fall of the ANC: What Next?

His book recently received a lot of attention both offline and online after it was revealed that Mashaba helped fund the book, which was marketed as an unofficial biography.

The book publishers, Jonathan Ball  has subsequently pulled out the book off the market, alleging Mashele’s violation of trust in not disclosing the genuine sources of funding for the book.

When asked why he lied about the book being financed by Mashebe, Mashele answered he had to lie because he had contractual commitments with the politician.

“If I had said it any other way, it would have given the impression that Herman funded the project.”

Mashele signed a contract with Mashaba in 2019 before to the commencement of his research study and the agreement on the R12.5 million grant.

2, He  is also a political consultant and also  the co-author of the best-selling book ‘The Fall of the ANC: What Next?‘ He also authored ‘The Death Of Our Society‘.

3, Mashele has written articles for South Africa’s top newspapers, including the Sunday Times, Sunday Independent, Business Day, Sowetan, and others, Prince Mashele is also a sought-after political consultant.

Education & Qualifications

4, Prince Mashele hold a Master’s Degree in Political Studies (Rhodes University), an Honours Degree in Political Studies and a BA Degree (both from the University of Venda).

5, He was once a former Senior Research Fellow at GovInn. Previously he served as Executive Director of the Centre for Politics and Research.

6, He was also a lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences at the University of Pretoria.
