Bella Shmurda, an Ikorodu born Nigerian music star, has called out Twitter CEO Elon Musk, seeking full royalties only seconds after releasing his complete music video to the social media app.

Elon should honor and recognize him for being the first person to publish a lengthy video to the microblogging site, he added.

The Nigerian musician explained that he is requesting royalties on his video because Twitter may one day decide to charge for video uploads.

He claims to be the only artist and content provider to make such  fit in a long time.

Bella’s comment comes after the CEO of the third largest social media network, Elon Musk, stated that those with Twitter’s Blue Tick may now submit movies that are two hours long.

Elon Musk wrote:

“Twitter Blue Verified subscribers can now upload 2 hour videos (8GB)!”

Shmurda responded that if twitter wanted to launch a reward program, people like him should be rewarded because it costs money and takes a lot of work to produce and market a music video.

He wrote:

“I was the first to upload a full musical video Incase you decide to monetize and start paying royalties!! videos costs sweat, blood and lot of $$$.. you can choose to start rewarding creatives”·

“You can as well start by subscribing a year long blue tick for me.”
