An Indivisual Wins The R28.2 Million Lotto Jackpot Using The FNB Banking App

Using the First National Bank app, one person earned R28 219 392.25 in the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot.

Ithuba expressed its joy in announcing the winner of the draw on October 19.
“Players who win using a banking app are contacted by their bank to let them know about their winnings.

Players are then urged to process their claim at the Ithuba regional office that is the closest to them, according to Ithuba.

The winner will then receive their prize tax-free in 48 to 72 hours, claims Ithuba.

“This is a fantastic example of our solid cooperation with FNB, where gamers can play our games on the banking app,” Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza said in a statement congratulating the winner.

The profits of gamers who used the FNB banking app to win R250 000 or less will be paid immediately into their bank accounts, according to Ithuba earlier this year.

Mabuza reported that a group of financial advisors was ready to provide guidance on potential investment options.
A group of psychologists will also provide trauma counseling to the athlete.

Lotto Plus 2 has increased to an estimated R10.6 million, while Lotto has rolled over to an estimated R42 million on Saturday.
