According to Ukrainian sources, Russian military have resumed their attacks in the Kyiv region using “kamikaze drones” built in Iran.
Three drones bombed Makariv, a small village west of Kyiv, on Thursday, destroying crucial infrastructure facilities there.
Andriy Nebytov, the head of the Kyiv region police, said on Telegram that the Makariv community had been subjected to a nocturnal drone attack by intruders.
He stated that no casualties have been documented thus far.
The deputy head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, said that “kamikaze drones against key infrastructure facilities” were used in the attack.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has reported a number of Russian drone strikes using Iranian-made Shaped-136 weapons.
Russian drones were not supplied by Iran, according to the Kremlin, which has not responded.
According to the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces, six kamikaze drones were shot down throughout the course of the night in the south.
