Mother Wakes To Discover Her Husband Raping Their 5-year-old Daughter

After a 5-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father on Sunday night, police are looking into a rape case.

Prem Balram from Reaction Unit SA said that on Sunday night, shortly after 10pm, they received a call for assistance.
He said that the child’s mother, a 37-year-old woman, informed Reaction Unit investigators that she had been dozing off in bed with her boy and girl 5-year-old twins when her husband’s inebriated arrival.

“She informed the police that she found her spouse raping her daughter when she woke up.

“He started hitting the woman after she forced him away from the child. He then made his way out of the house in an unknown direction.

Balram claimed that despite the woman’s repeated requests for help, she never got any.

She then called a teacher at her daughter’s school, who got in touch with RUSA for support.

He claimed that the mother and girl were brought to the Tongaat SAPS, where a case could be opened.

Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala, a spokesman for the S Provincial Police, confirmed the incident.

“It is alleged that a five-year-old girl was raped at her home in Tongaat by a known suspect on October 9, 2022, at 21:00.

The case was initiated at the Tongaat police station, and for further investigation, the docket was forwarded to the Phoenix Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses Unit.
