Romelu Lukaku, a striker for Chelsea, has spoken out since signing a one-year loan deal with Inter Milan.

After the Belgium striker arrived in Italy on Wednesday to undergo his medicals and sign his contract, the deal was officially announced.

After leaving Inter last summer, Lukaku said he kept in touch with Simone Inzaghi and was happy to be back.

He responded, “The love of the supporters and my team-mates, but also the chance to work with the coach, convinced me to come back. All during the previous season, I kept in touch with him. I believe the team is responding well to the coach. I want to help out and be a good member of this club.

“It feels like returning home. I believe the people, the supporters, and my team-mates contributed to the fact that my family and I had a great experience in Milan. Everyone here has been really helpful to me since the first day I arrived, which makes me very happy.

“When I went to England, I didn’t even leave my house, which just goes to show how glad I am to be back here. I’m just eager to see the players on the field again
