According to football trade specialist Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski wants to move to Barcelona in summer transfer window despite interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

On Friday, Romano revealed this in a tweet on his Twitter account.

“Barcelona is preparing their fresh formal bid for Robert Lewandowski,” he tweeted. Laporta’s positive relationship with his agent, Zahavi, aided him in delaying and maintaining a legitimate verbal agreement on personal terms.

“Despite Chelsea and PSG’s efforts, Lewandowski’s preference has always been Barça.”

Meanwhile, Lewandowski, 33, has racked up 344 goals in 375 appearances for Bayern Munich during his eight-year stay.

He won the UEFA Champions League, three DFB-Pokals, and eight Bundesliga crowns.

In that time, the 2021 FIFA World Best Player has won a slew of individual awards, including nearly missing out on last year’s Ballon d’Or to Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain after scoring 42 goals in 2021.

But, after adding another Bundesliga title to his collection last month, the Poland international declared his intention to quit Bayern this summer and pursue a new challenge.

Lewandowksi stated, “My era at Bayern is done.” I don’t think I’ll be able to play for the rest of the season.
