After Rudiger, Another Chelsea Defender Moves To LaLiga

Andreas Christensen has left Chelsea, the club has confirmed.

Following the 2021/2022 season, Christensen will be released from the club.

The Blues have confirmed that four players of their senior squad will wave farewell to west London, joining Antonio Rudiger, who has already joined La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Christensen is also expected to sign a contract with Barcelona in Spain.

“Christensen’s Chelsea contract expires this summer, bringing to a close his ten years as a Blue, during which time he advanced from our academy and subsequently gained a regular place in our senior squad, playing 161 games,” the club said in a statement.

“He’d win the FA Cup, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and, most notably, the Champions League.” He came off the bench in the first half of last year’s final in Porto and was instrumental in our defensive victory over Manchester City.”
