Orlaith Quinn Death – Husband Says His Wife Would Still Be Alive Today If She Received Appropriate Care

Orlaith Quinn took her own life on October 11, 2018, at the Royal Jubilee Maternity Hospital (RJMH) Belfast. Her husband blamed the hospital for his wife’s death and says she would still be alive if they had attained her appropriately.
Ciaran Quinn, husband of Orlaith Quinn stated this yesterday while speaking at the opening of the Inquest into her death at the Royal Jubilee Maternity Hospital in 2018.
According to Belfasttelegraph, Orlaith committed suicide in the early hours of October 11, 2018, after admitting to relatives and hospital professionals that she had attempted suicide three times in the week leading up to the birth of her daughter Meave.

On the first day of her research, Ciaran, her husband, said:
“I am confident that my wife will be alive today if she receives the adequate and required treatment that she deserves.
So I have to confront his death every day.”
Quinn broke down in tears as he described his wife as a “really lovely woman.”
He continues, saying:
“He had tremendous wit and humor and was quite contagious.”
“Apart from that, she was the most beautiful woman.” She looked after me. She confirmed that I was OK and that everyone else as well, as well. Was the most kind and caring mother a child could wish for.
