The world was shocked to hear about the sudden death of Former Michigan State Basketball player Adreian Payne. When the news of his death surfaced on the internet no cause of death was disclosed but later it was confirmed that he was shot and killed.

An official statement released through the Sheriff’s office revealed that the Adreian was shot to death at the Econ Landing Townhomes in east Orange County yesterday night.

The agency claimed in an unsigned statement that deputies were dispatched to the 2500 block of Egret Shores Drive at about 1:30 a.m. and found Adreian Payne injured. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

The shooter has been unmasked. He has been identified as 29-year-old Lawrence Dority.

Lawrence Dority, who is accused of shooting Adreian Payne, has been charged with first-degree murder.

The gunman, Lawrence Dority, 29, lingered at the crime site and was subsequently interrogated by homicide investigators at OCSO headquarters, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Dority was arrested and placed into the Orange County Jail on a first-degree murder warrant, where he is being detained without bond.
