Laliga Champions yesterday made a surprise come back to send Manchester City out of their Champions League trophy hopes.

In the first half of the game, Real Madrid was down to nothing as Manchester City were 2 goals to the Nile against them but a surprise comeback from the team in the last minute of the second put the game in a stalemate which proceeded it to extra minute.

Reacting to the game, Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti revealed that the reason why they shock the football world was that his player never gave up.

“Something strange has happened. We’ve had fantastic nights. We’ve played against very strong teams, teams seen as candidates to win the Champions League.

“The players never gave up. It’s special here. Nobody thought Real Madrid would play another final this year, and we’re there,”

Riyad Mahrez put City 5-3 ahead in the tie in the 73rd minute, but Rodrygo scored twice in two minutes and Karim Benzema converted an extra-time penalty to assure Madrid will face Liverpool on May 28 in Paris.

It’s the latest unexpected comeback for the LaLiga winners, who had previously trailed PSG in the round of 16 and Chelsea in the quarter-finals before rebounding late to win.
