Kailey Posey Death Shocks Internet, Kailia Posey Toddlers and Tiaras Dead at 16, Cause Of Death Revealed

Kailey Posey, a 16-year-old internet star and pageant queen who appeared on TLC’s “Toddlers & Tiara” at her childhood age has reportedly passed away. The news of her death was made known to the public through a Facebook post shared by her mother.

The Facebook post read: “I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever,”

Circumstances surrounding her sudden demise were not made known to the public but reports from sources claimed the TV star died in an accident in Washington.

“Yesterday, May 2 at 1:26 pm, Washington State Police was contacted to assist Whatcom County Sheriff on a juvenile fatality investigation in Birch Bay State Park,” Washington Police said. The probe is in its latter stages.

At least twice, Posey participated in “Toddlers & Tiaras,” a show that provided a behind-the-scenes look at the world of children’s pageants.

Kailia’s mother stated in a 2016 edition of the show that she began competing in pageants when she was three years old. Her special skill was contortion.

After her stint on the show as the “grinning girl,” she became well-known as an internet GIF… a picture that is still widely used in online forums today.

Posey was a contestant in the Miss Teen Washington pageant recently. Her bio on the pageant website claims that she attended Lynden High School and aspired to be a commercial pilot after college. She was also named to the Dean’s List at her school for having great marks in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Posey also appeared in the 2019 horror-thriller Eli opposite Lily Taylor and Sadie Sink. In early February, she expressed interest in competing in the Miss Teen Lynden WA USA pageant in 2022.

After Gutterman released footage of Kailua from her pageant days, her profile picture was changed to one of several children dressed as angels.
