The Family Medicine department at Baylor Scott & White Health is devastated by the passing of Cathrine Meshew, a fellow Southwestern University alumna and a doctor with Baylor Scott & White Health.
Cathrine’s death was revealed in a social media post shared on Thursday evening by Michael Trung Nguyen, who described her death as “heartbreaking news.”
Despite the fact that Micheal did not mention the reason for Cathrine Meshew’s death in his Facebook post, he expressed his heartbreak at learning of her passing:
“The news of a fellow Southwestern University alumnus’ death has left me completely devastated. Dr. Catherine Meshew was a nice person, and even though we hadn’t spoken in a while, she always welcomed me back with a hug and a grin. Life is so fleeting. May her remembrance bring you joy.”

Dr. Meshew was born in Texas and graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with a medical degree.
Cathrine was a Family Medicine Specialist, She works at UTHSC San Antonio and liives in Pflugerville, Texas
She did her internship and residency at Scott & White in Temple, Texas, under the Texas A&M College of Medicine program.
Dr. Meshew was a Texas Medical Board-certified physician who is also qualified in ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BCLS.
She volunteered at a number of free clinics in Central Texas.
