Police arrests a 15-year-old following the shooting and killing of Warren a brother of singer Craig Lucas, and his wife in Brackenell

After a man, the brother of singer Craig Lucas, and his wife were shot and killed in their Brackenfell house, a 15-year-old has been detained.

Warren and Arlene Lucas were slain at their home on Sunday, and tributes have been flooding in.

 

The 37-year-old couple was shot in their Brackenfell house.

Warren is thought to be the brother of Craig Lucas, a South African singer.

Brigette Brukman, a family spokesman, verified the Lucas family’s death on social media.

 

“The family has suffered a great loss and tragedy.” “At this time, they request that you respect their privacy as they deal with Warren and Arlene’s deaths,” the message stated.

Brukman informed the reporters that he didn’t have any further information, but that if he did, he’d issue a press statement.

The shooting was verified by provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg.

Twigg stated, “The circumstances surrounding a shooting incident yesterday night (Sunday) at approximately 6pm in Sharon Crescent, Protea Heights in Brackenfell, where a 37-year-old man and a 37-year-old female were shot and mortally injured are under investigation.”

He added that Brackenfell police are looking into a double homicide.

“According to sources, Brackenfell police arrived at the murder site and discovered the victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics confirmed the individuals died on the scene.

Twigg stated, “The  15-year-old suspect was apprehended and will be assessed today (Monday).”
