Comedian Joel Creasay shows up on a donned crab costume as he films his final scenes for Neighbors

In November, comedian Joel Creasey made his long-awaited return to Neighbours as Mick Allsop.

On Wednesday, the 31-year-old shared an Instagram photo of himself dressed as a crab to commemorate his final day on set.

‘It’s been over a year since I started wreaking havoc on Ramsay St., and then I shot my last scene yesterday without noticing,’ he began.

This show’s cast and staff are genuinely exceptional in terms of skill, kindness, and dedication. They work long hours, are highly dedicated, and actually care about the fans.

‘I’d want to express my gratitude to the authors who created Mick Allsop, the world’s most terrible event planner and villain,’ he added.

‘Here I am dressed as a crab in a tale from last year because, well, why wouldn’t I be?! I’m in love with you. ‘Becoming close friends has been a pleasure and an honor,’ he finished his touching remark.

Joel’s message drew a flurry of responses from his Neighbours co-stars.

Tammin Sursok wrote, “It’s so fantastic to get to spend time with you!”

‘Oh no, I wish we’d known!’ April Rose-Pengilly added.

Joel’s wacky statement comes after it was announced on Thursday that Neighbours will be cancelled after 37 years on the air.

The announcement was verified by Network 10 and Fremantle, the show’s producer, who claimed the final episode of the classic serial will be taped in June.

‘It is with regret that we are revealing that Neighbours will end production in the summer, after over 37 years and approximately 9000 episodes broadcast,’ they said in a statement to MailOnline.

‘We presently have no choice but to put the program on hold following the loss of a key broadcast partner in the UK, despite our efforts to find other funding.’

‘Since the news broke, everyone at Neighbours has been touched by the outpouring of love and support from the viewers.’ The show has brought a bright piece of Australia into the homes of millions of people all over the world, as well as launching the careers of dozens of popular celebrities.

‘However, as this chapter of Ramsay Street draws to a close, we pledge to do all in our power to give the show the send-off it so richly deserves.’
