EPL: Tuchel Reveals Reason Behind Lukaku’s Poor Form

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has revealed reasons why Romelu Lukaku is lacking his scoring power.

According to Tuchel, the Belgium striker’s poor form was because of the absence of wingbacks Reece James and Ben Chilwell.

Last Saturday against Crystal Palace, the Belgium striker had only seven touches of the ball, one of which was from the kick-off.

“Of course, any style changes with long-term injuries of key players,” Tuchel said when questioned about Lukaku’s dismal form.

“We played a lot of games with a back three with wingbacks, and two of the important wingbacks are Reece and Chilly – both of whom were injured at the pinnacle of their careers.”
