Information reaching our news desk has it that talented South African disk jockey DJ City Lights has sadly passed away. As per the report, our news department got from sources, the music producer was shot eight times on Sunday, 13th February 2022.

The DJ whose name is Sandile Nkululeko Mkhize is also known to be the brother to the late rap star, Pro Kid.

Information revealed that the music star death was a result of a hijacking that led to him being shot 8 times last night in Soweto.

Citi’s death has sent a huge shock wave across the music industry, and people have taken to social media to pay tribute; expressing how to hurt they are with the news of his passing.

Police have confirmed that a murder case has been opened after a musician was shot and killed in Soweto, according to a statement.

“Gauteng police have initiated a manhunt for suspects after a musician was shot and killed in Dube, Soweto, in the early hours of Monday, February 14, 2022,” stated Lt-Col Mavela Masondo.

Before 2 a.m., police were dispatched to a murder scene in Dube, where they discovered a 32-year-old male lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The paramedics pronounced him dead.”

The motivation for his murder is unknown, according to police, who are still looking for the perpetrators.

DJ Citi Lyts began his career as the hypeman and DJ for rapper F-Eezy. Malambane, Shishiliza, Washa Washa, and Vurra were among his hit songs after he joined Ambitiouz Entertainment.

Following that, he departed Ambitiouz Entertainment to pursue a solo career.
