According to unconfirmed reports in Gaza, the Israeli army bombardment in northern Gaza injured at least three Palestinian farmers.

Israeli tanks were fired on the northern Gaza Strip recently in retaliation for the shooting of an Israeli defence ministry employee who was working on the barrier near the border, he was only slightly hurt.

The injured Palestinians were brought to Beit Hanoun Hospital for treatment, according to a ministry statement, but no additional information about their ailments was provided.

The bombardment, according to the Israeli military, was aimed at Hamas military positions in northern Gaza.

The army has begun to shut roads along the Gaza border, according to Ynet, fearing further cross-border shooting or ATGM assaults.

The army stated in a statement that the bombardment was in retaliation for a gun strike from northern Gaza that injured an Israeli.

According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli army has ordered the evacuation of farms in Israeli settlements near the Gaza borderline.

The shooting has not been claimed by any Palestinian group.
