While shooting a video for Adam McKay’s new film, Don’t Look Up, the American actor claims he plunged into a frigid lake to save his huskies.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly for the film Around the Table, DiCaprio and his costars, Jennifer Lawrence and Jonah Hill, recalled the event.

He told Lawrence, Hill, Meryl Streep, and Tyler Perry, “Basically, they both fell on a frozen lake.” “I’m not sure what you’re doing on a frozen lake.”

“One of the dogs fell in, and he dived into the frozen lake to save the dog, and as soon as he moved the one dog out of the pond, the second dog leapt in,” Lawrence added.

“The other one started licking the one that was drowning, and suddenly we were all on the freezing lake together,” DiCaprio said.

“And I’m sure you’re all wondering—I was too—he got nude in the car right away,” Lawrence joked.

Don’t Look Up follows two astronomers, DiCaprio and Lawrence, as they race to warn humanity of a looming comet that would destroy the earth.

The film is now in cinemas and will be available on Netflix on December 24.
