South Africa covid-19 death toll rises to 90,148 after new cases and 11 deaths where recorded in the last 24hrs

South Africa records 13,992 new cases of covid-19 and 11 new deaths.

Authorities on Monday said 13,992 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours with Gauteng still remaining the hotspot with 6,711 new infections.

That’s followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 2,715 cases. The Western Cape is on 1,464 new infections.

The rest of the provinces including North West, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga, all remain under a thousand.

The positivity rate rose to 31.0 per cent.

Sadly, 11 more people have died bringing the death toll to 90,148.
