Ballon d’Or: Why Benzema Deserves The Title – Modric

As we draw closer to the much-talked Ballon D’or title, many soccer stars are now vetting for their preferred choice.

Croatian soccer star and Real Madrid has said that his teammate, Benzema is likely going to win the Ballon d’Or award because he deserves it.

The soccer star stated this during his pre-match press conference before Real Madrid’s match against Shakhtar Donetsk, Tuesday night.

The former Ballon d’Or winner in his comments said France’s striker deserves to win the title looking at how he has played this year and his trajectory.

“We will see. There are various candidates that could win it. For me, Karim is one of them.

“I hope that he wins it because he deserves it for how he has played this year and his trajectory.

“Above all, these recent years. He has always been at the top level. And he has now won a title with France, which is important in these awards. I hope that he wins because he deserves it,”

Benzema made the 30-man shortlist for the award, along with favourites Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorginho, Robert Lewandowski and N’Golo Kante.
