The “Last Week Tonight Show” ended with a tribute made by John Oliver in honour of a former producer who passed away over the weekend. According to Deadline.com, Amanda who was a former segment producer for the TV show died on September 1 2021 on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina just 19 days left to mark her 40th birthday.
Her cause of death or Circumstances surrounding her sad demise was not disclosed to the public.
As per her brief biography on the Obit website, Amanda was born on September 20, 1981, in Georgia to the family of Dr Walter John Bayard and Ruth Alice Sallenger Bayard started her life on earth with the hope of a brighter future.
She graduated in 2000 from Dreher High School in Columbia, S.C. and also bagged her Bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, in New Orleans, LA, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film & Television from Savannah College of Art and Design, where she was valedictorian of her graduate school class.
During her stay as segment producer/senior segment producer on Last Week Tonight from 2014-16, Bayard shared in three Emmy and two Peabody Awards for the show. She previously also worked on The Onion News Network.
