Portuguese soccer star, Cristian Ronaldo has reacted to the new move by Man United by giving him back the controversial Manchester United No 7 he formerly wore during his playing time in the club 12 years ago.
The 36-year-old soccer star while reacting to the new development said he wasn’t sure if it would be possible for him to have the seven shirt again, thanking Edinson Cavani for making a place for him to put the jersey describing it as an incredible gesture.
Taking to his official Instagram Ronaldo wrote:- “So I would like to say a huge thank you to Edi for his incredible gesture.”
Ronaldo wore the jersey during his first stint at Old Trafford from 2003 to 2009, before leaving for Real Madrid.
It has been confirmed that the Uruguay striker will now switch to no. 21, the same number he wears for his country.
