South African govt launches full application for R350 Social Relief of Distress grant

South African govt has launched the Applications for the Social Relief of Distress grant.

The Social Development Department revealed this on Friday saying that there will be more pay points and improved systems.

The government is partnering with retailers and banks to make pay points more accessible.

The first payments are expected to be made in the last week of August.

There were more than 10-million applications when the grant was offered previously.

Six million of those were approved.

The full process for the R350 Social Relief of Distress grant applications will open from tomorrow and the government is promising additional pay points and slicker, more improved, systems.
