World-renowned MLA Bahi Ganpatrao Deshmukh reportedly dies

Sad to announce that the world-renowned MLA Bahi Ganpatrao Deshmukh is dead.
An emotional post shared on Tuesday afternoon by Swapnil Deshmukh the Aurangabad, Maharashtra on Facebook reads:
“Emotional tribute to world-renowned MLA Bhai Ganpatrao Deshmukh! “
His cause of death was not made public at the time of filing this report.
Reports say the senior leader of Shetkari Kamgar Paksha and former MLA Ganpatrao Deshmukh Ganpatrao Deshmukh’s health had earlier improved few days ago after undergoing surgery.
Ganapatrao Deshmukh has been sick for many days. The youth of Sangola taluka anointed the Shivling with milk and prayed for his long life and good health.
He was born 10 August 1927 at Pimpri, Tal-Mohol, Dist-Solapur.
Ganapatrao has been in office for 47 years asa an Indian politician.
He was the leader of Peasants and Workers Party of India (PWP). Became the longest serving member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly have been elected 11 times, during the last 54 years, from Sangole in Solapur district.
Deshmukh also briefly served as a minister in the First Sharad Pawar ministry in 1978, and later in 1999, when PWP supported the Congress-NCP alliance.
Deshmukh was first elected to the State Assembly in the 1962 elections, and since then won every election, except for the 1972 and 1995 elections . In 2012, the government and the Assembly congratulated him upon his completing 50 years as a member .
In the 2014 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election at the age of eighty-eight, he won the Sangole constituency for a record 11th time with 94,374 votes
