On July 21 2021, The Legends Tour took to their official website to announce the death of a full-time caddie, Chris Cooley. Chris Cooley was reported to have died on July 25 2021 at the age of 58.

Reports from the Legend Tour website says Cooley suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice round on Tuesday afternoon, where he was caddying for American professional Fran Quinn, who had come through Monday qualifying for the Championship at Burhill Golf Club.

As per the report, Chris Cooley died at Frimley Park Hospital where he was receiving immediate medical attention.

Chris Cooley was one of those caddies, working at Queenwood GC and this week at the British Senior Open at Sunningdale GC where he sadly passed away earlier this week.
