Tributes Floods In As Young Future Champ Dies Unexpectedly



The boxing community are mourning the death of a talented young future boxing champ, Frank Carey. Frank Carey was reported to have died on July 22 2021 at his younger age. His cause of death or what led to his sudden demise is not yet known to the public at the time of filing this report but information gathered from sources says Frank passed away this afternoon after he drowned in the Cheshire river.

16-year-old Frank Varey competed at the Riviera Box Cup in Torquay. Varey’s final at the competition had the attention of everyone at the venue and was up against his England team-mate, Muhammad Ali, with both boxers looking to take the 52kg slot.

Varey boxed outstandingly in the final and was too sharp for Ali, winning by a unanimous decision, as well as taking the tournament’s best junior boxer award.

He won the best junior boxer award.

Frank’s Death: Hopey Price and Tyson Fury React

Legendary Boxers Hopey Price and Tyson Fury took to their official social media pages to confirm the death of Frank and as well sent their heartfelt condolences to the family of the late young stars.

Penning down his tribute via his Facebook and Instagram page, Prince wrote:- “RIP kid, you’ll never be forgotten, legends never die.

“Cruel world we live in everyone pray for all his family.”

Fury also took to Instagram in an Instagram story, saying: “RIP Frank. Was a future world champ.” Varey had been touted for big things and he had won the National Championships at every time of asking.

The St Pauls Antrim A.B.C Club also reacting to Frank’s death wrote on Facebook:- It is with great sadness to learn of the untimely death of one England boxing superstars in the ring Young Frankie Varey. Rest in peace Frank Varey, condolences to his family, friends & sharp style boxing club prays are with you all from myself and everyone at St Paul’s boxing club Belfast. He had the privilege of sharing the ring with our own talent Dylan Eagleson.
