Oh, it was fun alright. We used to go to a dance or garage party almost every weekend, and nightclubs during the week. I used to have memberships or names on the door at most of the well-known clubs and knew the Ferris brothers, Andy, Beaver, and a bunch of other DJs – Plackets65 From Reddit
Loved Andy Glitre on the Groove Train. His voice was so soothing and calming. – Purplestia From Reddit
”Fun and funny and infuriating, we did many bad things in the studios at night, sometimes the daytimes, and usually while he sported that big, awkward grin and impish attitude that belied both his size and sheer presence. Shocked that he’s gone. Damn.” – Craig Donarski posted on Facebook.
”I just heard the sad news, that Andy Glitre passed away. He had a huge influence on my taste in music. I used to listen to his shows on triple j, The Rhythm Method and then The Groove Train.
It was a huge honour for me to be the next presenter of The Groove Train after Andy. I also loved to hang out at the middle bar at Kinselas or at Goodbar when he was playing. Whenever I asked about a track he would happily show me the cover and tell me what I needed to know. I’m shocked and saddened that he has left us so early. May he rest in peace.” – Sharif Galal posted on Facebook
