Breaking News: A building has collapsed near Collins Avenue Miami beach (Pictures)
A condo building has partially collapsed at 88th St. & Collins Ave. in Surfside. Eighty @MiamiDadeFire units, including the technical rescue team, are responding to the emergency.
Reports say people trapped, no word what caused the collapse or if anyone was hurt.
The Authorities has responded to reports of a “partial building collapse” early Thursday morning.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said – “#MDFR is on the scene of a partial building collapse near 88 Street & Collins Avenue.” the agency said in a tweet.
In a separate press release, it said more than 80 rescue units were at the location, including Technical Rescue Teams, with assistance from municipal fire departments.
More than 80 fire rescue units were involved in the response, including Technical Rescue Teams, fire officials said.
Municipal fire departments and Miami Beach police were also assisting.
The media has reached out to Miami Beach Fire Rescue as well as the Miami Beach Mayor’s office.
