Actor Langa Dlamini from Gomora dies

Siyabonga Xaba a popular young actor who is known for his role on the popular TV soapie “Gomora” has been reported dead.

Fondly called Langa, was a seasoned actor who began his acting career before he was even 10 years old on Soul Buddyz.

He is also best known for his portrayal of Zweli Hlatswayo in End Game which is an SABC1 political series.

However, it wasn’t until last year when the actor joined Gomora to play the role of Langa that soapie viewers came to know of Xaba.

A character that many soapie fans have adored since season one, Langa died a fiery death last night and #Gomora has been trending throughout the evening after the episode aired, as well as this morning.

Gladys(Thembi Seete) and Langa were trapped in a fire allegedly started by Sifiso at a tavern. Gladys survived, but Langa tragically died in the raging fire.

Mzansi Tv has also confirmed the news of his death through their statement on Wednesday morning reads:

When we met Langa, he was this naïve “cheese boy” from Sandton who had just moved into his grandmother’s house in #Gomora with his mother, Thathi and little sister Buhle after that dreadful hijacking incident that left them fatherless, broke and homeless.

So much has happened over the past year and nobody quite expected that Gladys would be responsible for the tragic incident that took his life. Here’s what he will be remembered for:

Listen! The boy spoke eloquently, often leaving Teddy wondering what had just been said, LOL! Some of his fans on Twitter called him “Little Einstein” and they were gutted by the news of his tragic death.

His brotherhood with Teddy and Ntokozo

He was a loyal friend, Teddy can attest to that! Remember when Teddy went through that Manzi saga? Langa was in the front and centre, supporting Teddy all the way even when others didn’t believe (when he supported Teddy during the Miss Manzi fiasco.

His ambition to do great things:

Langa was his father’s son. Both he and Melusi are passionate about something they have an interest in. Melusi has done many great things for Gomora High School, and Langa followed in his footsteps when he developed that Learning App that would help students improve their grades.

Langa’s death has changed the lives of the Molefe’s and Dlamini’s. How can they ever get past this? Will Gladys tell the truth?

Who Is Langa On Gomora & Why Do Fans Love Him?

Langa is the firstborn son of Thathi (Katlego Danke). Thati moved her children from the affluent suburb of Sandton to Alex Township after the death of her husband (Themba Ndaba).

When #Gomora first met Langa, he was a nerdy boy who was always glued to his computer. He also seemed “cold” and righteous.

Fans didn’t appreciate him at first when he tried to outdo fan favourite Teddy(Sicelo Buthelezi) in a heated debate competition. The duo and Ntokozo (Ntokobeko Shishi) were competing for the captaincy position in the classroom.
