Visual Artist & Gallerist, JJ Brine Dies At 37

It has been confirmed online that JJ Brine that American visual artist and gallerist, JJ Brine has sadly passed away at the age of 37. JJ was said to have died on June 13 2021 in Gainesville, Florida.

Circumstances surrounding his death have not been made known to the public when filing this report.

A Facebook user who announced the news of JJ’s demise wrote – Very sad to hear of the passing of creative GENIUS, installation artist, sculpture, 2D, 3D and digital artist, JJ Brine. The first time I saw the spaces he created I was blown away. I drove to New York JUST to photograph his installations multiple times and had the honour of meeting him as he welcomed me and my work into his Gallery. JJ I hope you found peace in the holographic neon glittering stars in the sky.

Born on November 8, 1983, Jonathan Friel popularly known by the artist as “The Crown of Hell” studied at the American University of Beirut, shortly after his graduation, JJ pursued his career as an international artist.

He curated and operated the Vector Gallery in New York City, which drew attention and critical response for its avant-garde postmodern multimedia narratives on Abrahamic religions.

JJ Brine is the owner, founder and artist at VECTOR Gallery, NYC’s premier conceptual art destination. He is also a writer, singer, filmmaker and 1/2 of the Charles Manson concept band, The LaBiancas.
