UEFA has released a new update about the worrisome incident that happened today at the ongoing European Championship.

The Match between Denmark and Finland was abruptly put to a halt after Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen, collapsed on the pitch.

Eriksen was seen carried away out of the pitch rallied around by his teammates all looked deeply saddened.

The match was immediately cancelled due to a serious emergency condition.

A fresh update made by the football governing body “UEFA” revealed that the player is ok and has been transferred to a hospital.

UEFA also said that the match has been postponed and further information will be announced later in the day.

Following the medical emergency involving Denmark’s player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET.

The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised.
