Sergio Aguero’s father, Leonel del Castillo, has dropped a comment about his son’s departure from Manchester City and what he thinks about Aguero reactions to the move.
Leonel accused Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, of faking his tears while in a chat with journalists after their last match against Chelsea last week.
Aguero has in a few days moved to Barcelona as a free agent after his contract with Man City was not renewed.
Breaking in tears during the live chat with newsmen, Guardiola when asked about how he feels seeing Aguero leave the club, replied “We love him, He is irreplaceable, we can’t replace him”.
Aguero’s father who didn’t believe in Guardiola’s statement told Argentinian station Radio La Red that Guardiola never wanted his son in the club.
“I don’t believe him. No, I don’t. I believe he never wanted him [Aguero]; he said.”
Asked if the tears were for the cameras, he added: “Of course. He wants to be the star of all the teams he is in instead of the players.
“It’s incredible. He [Guardiola] says he is irreplaceable, and he doesn’t have him in the squad. These are things of Guardiola, he is a great coach. But from one day to the next he changes the players and you never know if you are going to start or not.”
