Vancouver Columnist, Shelley Fralic Is Dead

Former Vancouver Sun columnist, Shelley Fralic has passed away at the age of 68. Shelley was reported to have died in bed on Monday night, May 31 2021 in her New Westminster home.

Her cause of death or Circumstances surrounding her sudden demise was not disclosed to the public at the time f filing this report.

Reacting to death a Facebook user, Tracy McLaughlin said Shelley brought many smiles to many faces through her mythical columns.

Penning down her tribute she wrote – I’m extremely sad to learn of Shelley Fralic’s very sudden death yesterday. She brought so many smiles to faces through her fabulous columns. May she rest in peace.

Shelley Fralic began her career in 1979 with the Vancouver Sun as a reporter and worked in a number of editorial positions at the newspaper over the years, including special projects editor and executive editor, eventually moving on to become a full-time columnist from 2003 to 2016.

She is the author of Making Headlines: 100 Years at The Vancouver Sun, which won the Bill Duthie Booksellers’ Choice Award.
