American designer & illustrator, Eric Carle Dies At 91

Information reaching our news desk has it that popular American designer, illustrator and writer, Eric Carle has sadly passed away at the age of 91. Eric was reported to have died on May 26 2021.

His death news was confirmed through a series of social media post made by online users. Circumstances surrounding his demise is not yet known to the public at the time of filing this report.

Carle started off his career as an illustrator and children’s book author on Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and has illustrated more than 70 books, most of which he also wrote, and more than 145 million copies of his books have been sold around the world.

The Children’s Bookshelf through their official Twitter page announced the news that Eric has passed on.

In a series of tweets, they wrote – Very sad news: legendary author and artist Eric Carle, creator of such classics as ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar,’ ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?’ and many other beloved works, has died at age 91.
