The Israeli president Benjamin Netanyahu has comfirmed that the drone that shot down near the Jordanian border on Tuesday was from Iran.

The Prime Minister made this known on Tuesday while addressing the media he said:- “While we were busy fighting, a few days ago, Iran sent an armed drone to Israel from Iraq or Syria, ” Netanyahu told German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas , who is visiting Jerusalem. “The Iranian forces launched an armed drone, which our forces shot down on the border between Israel and Jordan.”

“I think that says everything about the true pattern of terror in the Middle East and the world: Iran, ” Netanyahu added, showing Maas a piece of the drone.

The IDF shot down a drone approaching the Israel-Jordan border on Tuesday , traveling into northern Israel.

IDF units collected the fragments of the destroyed aircraft for further examination.

At that time, the residents of the town of Beit She’an were instructed to lock themselves in their homes for nearly an hour, before the IDF announced that the area had been secured and that it was safe again for people to leave their homes. .

Netanyahu told the German foreign minister that Iran is behind all the fronts that Israel is fighting.

“Iran not only fully supports Islamic Jihad in Gaza and gives it all its funds, but also arms Hamas and Hezbollah,” he said. “They provide the infrastructure that terrorist organizations depend on.”

“We support Palestine”

Netanyahu’s words come a day after the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hosein Salamí, reiterated that “we support our dear fellow Muslims in Palestine. And they should know that the fight of the Palestinians against Israel is not just their fight, it is the symbol of the Muslim world against the arrogant powers of the world. ”

After this sentence, the more than a thousand people gathered to listen to his speech , carrying Palestinian and Iranian flags, shouted the slogan of “Death to Israel.”

“Palestine,” Salamí continued, “is not just Palestine, it is the entire Muslim nation, and Israel is not just Israel, it is the arrogant front of the West . ”

For this reason, in his opinion, “the defeat of Israel today is a sign of the defeat of the United States before the Muslim world.”

In the demonstration against Israel on Wednesday, the first of an official nature, the participants ended the act as usual by setting fire to the Israeli and American flags.

Iran, a staunch enemy of Israel, backs the Palestinian militias in Gaza and leads the so-called Axis of Resistance against the Jewish State , which includes Hamas, the Lebanese group Hezbollah and Syria.

The military escalation between the Palestinian militias in Gaza and Israel entered its eleventh day today and has already resulted in the deaths of at least 219 Palestinians from the Strip and 12 people in Israel.

Netanyahu assured that he is “determined” to continue with the military operation in Gaza, shortly after speaking with US President Joe Biden, who urged him to carry out “a significant de-escalation.”
