Fishing Expert, Travis Holeman Has Passed Away


It has been confirmed on social media that Captain Travis Holeman, host of “Chasin’ the Sun” on Discovery Channel has passed away.

According to a report from sources, Travis Holeman suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and despite CPR and other attempts to save him, his body finally succumbed to the onslaught and cascading aftermaths of Covid 19.

The Fly Rod Chronicles With Curtis Fleming took to their official verified Facebook page to confirm the sad demise of Travis.

Also reacting to Travis death the LTB Latitude Tournament Boats Inc described him as a bosom friend who was always there when you needed to talk.

Who Is Travis Holeman?

Travis Holeman was an angler, hunter, fishing expert and TV host. He was a popular host on Chasin The Sun On Discovery Channel.

He is also the owner of Keywestangling and TravisHoleman.com.

Travis has a diverse background in all things fishing. From guiding to numerous IGFA world records to tournament angling, his goal has been to help others achieve their dreams.

With over 25 years of guiding experience, Travis earned his “PhD” in fish catching on the ESPN2 Redfish Cup, FLW, IFA Pro, SKA, several TV top team invite tournaments and billfish tournaments.

He bagged his BA in Liberal Arts, Sociology from the University of Central Oklahoma.
