Cape Town police arrests 11 suspects following a deadly shooting that happened at Sea Point hotel in Khayelitsha

11 suspects have been arrested at a hotel in Sea Point in the early hours of this Monday morning. They are to face charges of murder and attempted murder.
The Cape Town police on Monday 17th May 2021 nabbed at least 11 suspects following alleged involvement in the deadly Saturday shootings that happened in Khayelitsha which left over 13 persons dead and several others injured.
Speaking on the matter the spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said a task team pounced on a Hotel at Sea Point at 3 am on Monday where they made the arrests.
She revealed that at this point the suspects are only being questioned and have not yet been charged.
Nine people were shot and killed at different locations in Site B, Khayelitsha on Saturday, four succumbed to injuries sustained from the shooting incidents in the hospital and five were seriously wounded.
Once charged the suspects will face murder and attempted murder charges. As the investigations progress more charges could be added.
