Search for the 12-year-old Wagga Wagga girl who went missing Sunday afternoon has been halted after she found dead by the police.
The police discovered her body in bushland in the early of today. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Lauren Rafferty, 12, went missing overnight in southern New South Wales after going for a walk on Sunday afternoon. She left her Mount Austin home around 1.30 pm.
Just after 12.30 pm on Monday, NSW Police confirmed officers had located her body.
“The girl’s body was discovered in bushland in the Willans Hill area about 9.30 am on Monday,” police said.
Officers from Riverina Police District were alerted of her disappearance after she failed to return home.
