Surfer Jack Macaulay Has Passed Away

It has been confirmed on social media that talented surfer, Jack Macaulay has sadly passed away.

Jack Macaulay was reported to have died a few days ago. His cause of death or what led to his sudden demise was not made known to the public.

The young Australian surfer was a brother of the CT athlete, Bronte Macaulay, and the legendary surfer Dave Macaulay.

Jack who was in his mid-twenties has achieved a lot in the underground surfing community. He came from the iconic WA family.

Before his death, he was working full-time as a kitchenhand. He made headlines in 2020 after scoring one of the waves of the season at Tombstones.

The family announced the news of his death yesterday through his dad’s Instagram page.

Our hearts have been obliterated as our beautiful Boy is gone; Dave Macaulay wrote on IG.

Penning down his tribute to the late surfer icon, Isaac Jones advised people who are passing through a lot to share their feelings and inner thoughts with anybody around them. He described Jack as a kind and one of the funniest dudes who always put smiles on peoples faces.

I hope you get to paddle into this wave that you quoted as “the best wave of my life” every day up there now.

Thoughts going out to the Macaulay family, friends and the whole of the community who know jack and his family.

Always opening my mind up to new ideas, thoughts and ways to look at and understand things which is something I will always cherish.

One of a kind and one of the funniest always putting smiles in peoples faces within seconds of being around you and I’m so glad I’ve got the picture of you enjoying a beer with a big smile on your face having a laugh with us last week in my head

You will be dearly missed macca.
