Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo finally granted bail

Controversial Ghanian actress Akuapem Poloo has been granted bail on ¢80,000.

the actress who was charged 3 months in prison for posing naked before her son in raunchy photo shots was on Wednesday, April 21 released with two sureties.

Her release came just few days after tens of thousands signed a petition asking for her to be freed.

She is also supposed to deposit her passport with the registrar of the court.

The court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey, who said she will only travel with the express permission of the court.

The court further said the applicant has satisfied the four grounds of bail pending appeal.

The application for bail was not opposed by the state who were present in court represented by Senior State Attorney Selasie Kuwornu.

She has surfaced back on Instagram where uploading a video thanking all her fans and celebrities who came for her aid:

According to him, this is because the State had no control over the length of the appeal which could travel beyond the 90 days jail sentence.

The Ghanaian actress had been sentenced to 90 days in jail for snapping naked with her 7-year-old son.

Poloo’s lawyer filed a motion to appeal the 90-day jail sentence. He also filed a motion for bail pending appeal.
