Ford’s Former Boss, Richard Parry-Jones Tragically Loses His Life



Information reaching our news desk has it that Ford’s former group vice president of global development, Richard Parry-Jones has sadly passed away at the age of 70. According to reports posted online, Richard died today in an accident on his farm situated in Wales.

Parry-Jones directed the concurrent development of dozens of vehicles at Ford and significantly influenced vehicles including the 1993 Ford Mondeo, both the 1998 International Ford Focus and 2000 North American Ford Focus, the European 1981 Escort and 1983 Sierra, as well as the Ka, Fiesta, Puma, Cougar and Galaxy.

The news of his death was confirmed online by the Radio Show Limited Listeners through their official Facebook page.

Announcing the information on Facebook they wrote – Sad news that Richard Parry-Jones, former Group Vice-President-Global Product Development, Chief Technical Officer and Head of Global R&D Operations for Ford, has died today following an incident with his tractor. Aside from being one of the pre-eminent engineers of his generation, he was a real enthusiast for motorsport and competed in rallies and on circuits. He was an all-around good bloke and will be missed by all those who knew him, including us here at RSL. Our sincere condolences to his wife Sarah and all of his family and friends.
