Merrimac State School Principal, Andrew Schumacher Has Passed Away



Merrimac State School Principal and coach, Andrew Schumacher has passed away. He was reported to have died today April 14 2021. Circumstances surrounding his death was never made known to the public.

Andrew Schumacher studied at Notre Dame Seminary. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

He also studied Business and Theology at Saint Joseph Seminary College and studied Philosophy & Theology at Saint Joseph Seminary College.

Kate Schumacher Wrote – It is with a broken heart that we must share that our beloved Andrew, passed away suddenly today. We are broken but so grateful to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. Thank you for all the well wishes. At this time we are just spending time together, coming to terms with our great loss but it means the world to us that he was so loved by so many.

Reacting to his death the Broadbeach Cats Juniors AFC wrote – We are saddened to hear this afternoon of the passing of player, coach and father Andrew Schumacher. Shoey passed away this afternoon. Our thoughts and condolences are with Kate, Zoe, Abby and Toby at this time. We ask that you please give the family some time to grieve. If you wish to pass any messages of condolence, please do so through the club.

Anna Hensgens Wrote – Thank you all for the outpouring of support and steady prayer for our Mom. Fr. Andrew Schumacher will be leading a rosary and divine mercy chaplet for her at 3 pm today. We welcome all of our family and friends to join us in prayer at that time.

The rosary and chaplet will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for anyone who wishes to attend. It will also be streamed on Facebook Live from my page.
