The St Mary’s football club family is deeply saddened by the passing of a club favourite, Captain and leader in Charlie Stephens.

Charlie was a terrific young man, with a great sense of humour. His speech at the 2019 colts best and fairest will go down as legendary, delivered with great humour and respect.

Charlie would often speak to the younger age groups, providing guidance and leadership that left the players with a role model they could look up to.

Loyal and trusting to all those who played with him on the field, he would never take a backward step to protect those in the black teal and white. The club extends its condolences to Mary and Brad and the entire Stephens Family.
