CNN & MSNBC Legal Analyst, Midwin Charles Has Passed Away



Information reaching our news desk has it Haitian born American Political analyst Midwin Charles has passed away. She was reported to have died today April 6 2021. Circumstances surrounding her death was not disclosed to the public.

It is with a profoundly heavy heart and the deepest sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Midwin Charles.

Haitian born American Political analyst Midwin Charles has been reported dead.

Her cause of death was disclosed at the time of filing this report.

The sad news of her death was made known through a Twitter message shared by #RolandMartinUnfiltered one of the host daily digital show who is also the senior analyst,
at JM show.

“It is with a profoundly heavy heart and the deepest sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Midwin Charles.

She was known to many as a legal commentator on television but to us, she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin.

Our lives are forever changed and we will miss her for a lifetime, The family thanks you in advance for your love and prayers.


Confirming the news also was Lola Adesioye a Brit in the Big Apple writer, Lola  said in her message:

“Rest in perfect peace dear MidwinCharles

Thank you for being so brilliant, bubbly, supportive, funny and kind. You were a true force of nature.

You will be dearly missed by anyone who knew you or met you. You have left us way way way too soon.

Rest well sweetie.”


Who Is Midwin Charles, Biography

Midwin was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she lived before her death.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law, where she was the editor of the American University Law Review.

After graduating from law school, she served as U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Eric L. Clay Law Office Clerk. she later became a social justice researcher at Harvard Law School. Leon Higginbotham under the tutelage of Charles O. Ogltter Jr. Jacobson LLP.

She recently received the 2018 Shining Star Award from US Congressman Yvette D. From Clark.

Midwin Charles is the founder of the law firm Midwin Charles & Associates LLC. He is also a television personality, legal analyst and investor in Essence Magazine.

She regularly comments on law, pop culture, and politics for various TV shows, including CNN, MSNBC, and The Wendy Williams Show. She also hosts SIRIUSXM on New York 107.5 WBLS radio show Express Yourself. It is noteworthy that Midwin worked at CNN as an assistant lawyer at In Session (formerly Court Television), where he provided daily legal analysis for live trials.

In Active Community Affairs, Midwin is the creator of the “Unlimited Jurisprudence Opportunities”, an annual forum of highly qualified lawyers with dynamic careers.

Midwin is also a member of the Dean Diversity Council for the American University College of Law in Washington, DC, a member of the Women’s Entertainment Network (WEEN) Board, and a member of the Haiti Roundtable. She has served on the Civil Rights Committee of the New York City Bar Association, lectured at Syracuse University, and wrote for the Huffington Post in Brooklyn, New York.
