Two-time Oklahoma State Finalist Zeke Washington, Has Passed Away

The wrestling community are mourning the death of Zeke Washington who unexpectedly passed away yesterday April 5 2021 at the age of 20. The news of his death was confirmed on social media today.

The Chattanooga Wrestling took to their official Twitter to announce the sudden demise of Zeke.

In a series of tweets they wrote – Our heartfelt condolences go out to Zeke’s family, teammates, coaches, support staff and the entire wrestling program during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as we all mourn the passing of one of our own.

Zeke Washington whose full name is Ezekiel Washington was born on February 2, 2021.

He is a two-time state runner up at Owasso (Okla.) High School where he graduated in 2019. He also wrestled for head coach Mike Ryan, 31-3 as a junior and 32-5 as a senior.

According to his GoFundme page, Zeke recently lost his mom. The page also revealed that the Washington family has experienced an enormous amount of loss in the last 6 months.

Washington is the son of Joe and Sandy Washington. He has five sisters, Alexis, Patricia, Chantel, Laschia and Maria, and one brother, Jeremy.

He originally signed with the Mocs as part of the 2019 class.
