On behalf of the leaders and members of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church, we extend our condolences to the Credit and Alford families, as well as Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Boonton, in the untimely passing of Dr Kimberly Credit.

Prior to her call to Mt. Zion, Dr Credit was a part of our ministerial staff, led the Young Adult and Christian Education Ministries, while also completing her dissertation project on apologetics during our mid-week Bible Study. The Preaching Lab was launched at Smyrna, and she was the first female ordained at Smyrna through NJDMBA.

We are truly grateful to have played a small part in her impactful ministry. Though she has departed us, may the work she has done, both locally and nationally, continue to advance God’s kingdom for generations to come.

Also reacting to her death Mike Pembleton Jr. described Dr Kimberly as an advocate of the Women Preaching Movement, advocate of higher education in the pulpit, and a leopard print.

“Rev. Dr. Kimberly Credit you have shocked the Pastor’s Circle with this one. You were an advocate of the Women Preaching Movement, an advocate of higher education in the pulpit, and all things leopard print.

Wow, one of our Full Gospel Fellowship Pastors has slipped from time into eternity. We pray for strength in this hour to her son, family, and the people who make up Mount Zion Baptist Church of Boonton Township, where she Pastored. Sleep well Prophet, you have the better hand!”; Mike Wrote On Facebook.
