Terry Foutain, Ellen Show Audio Engineer Is Dead

Terry Foutain, Ellen Show Audio Engineer has sadly passed away at the age of 65. The news of his death was announced by Ellen during her show today.  He was reported to have died over the weekend, his cause of death was not disclosed to the public.

Paying tribute to the late Terry Fountain, Ellen stated that Terry had been the show audio engineer for all 18 seasons, winning eight Daytime Emmys in the process.

She also unveiled the newly named Terry Fountain Audio Booth in honour of The Ellen Show’s beloved family member.

Terry Fountain has been with the show since its inception and playback mixer Dirk Sciarrotta on the show for the past three seasons.

He mixes both the production and the bands.

On June 2014, Ellen DeGenres in a series of tweets had disclosed that Terry had battled with cancer but survived the disease.

In her 2014 tweet she wrote – My audio engineer Terry Fountain beat cancer and won an Emmy. Congratulations, Terry. I couldn’t be more proud. #CreativeArtsEmmys.
